One Body Physical Therapy
COMMON QUESTIONS:
1. How was One Body PT founded?
After 7 years in the field, I was noticing significant gaps in our current health care system and wanted to take action. I've always been a problem solver and a helper and knew this is where I could provide a positive change. More specifically, a problem I see in our healthcare system is that they only allow access to physical therapy once your body has already failed. I believe it is the individual’s right to seek physical therapy for overall wellness and injury prevention. The more you learn about your body, your strengths, your body’s quirks, the more likely you are to maintain physical wellness. I started One Body PT as a solution by offering proactive, convenient, and accessible treatments for those wishing to optimize their physical wellness with or without injury.
2. How is One Body Physical Therapy different?
I am a concierge physical therapist, I’m here for you directly one and one without being influenced by the unrealistic demands of insurance companies. My goal is to empower you with education to be independent in managing your condition to no longer seek passive treatments, medications and to avoid surgery. If you have an inkling an injury is creeping up, full physical therapy may not be necessary. I recognize the hassle of going to your PCP, waiting weeks to schedule at a clinic and scheduling at inconvenient times will deter you from seeking care that can benefit you. Consult with me and we can work on the convenient solution.
3. What do you treat?
I specialize in orthopedic and athletic related injuries. I also have experience with geriatrics, aquatics, balance and neurologic disorders
4. What DON’T you treat?
For the following cases I recommend a specialist in their respective fields:
Women’s Health Conditions
Complex Vestibular Cases
Complex Hand injuries
5. Who is the perfect client?
The perfect client is someone who is interested in learning and who takes ownership of their wellness. They aren’t afraid to ask questions and aren’t afraid of the ups and downs. Those that consistently put in the work reach their goals quickly!
6. Do I need to have pain to see a physical therapist?
You do not need to be in pain to have treatment. It can be utilized preventatively, for annual exams, maintenance, or to improve current function with or without painful injuries. This is a common misconception because your insurance companies require pain and significant change in function to cover treatments.
7. How should I prepare for my appointment?
Bring: ID, recent imaging if applicable, and insurance card if wishing to seek out of network reimbursement
Wear: loose fitting clothes that allow access to region of concern
Prepare: Fill out the intake form

8. Are virtual visits difficult for physical therapists?
For orthopedic cases, education and corrective exercise is the primary focus for any physical therapy treatment. Diagnosis is primarily done through subjective information and analysis during movement screens. This makes virtual visits a successful way to diagnose and treat. For safety reasons patients with balance disorders or heart conditions require in-person treatment instead of virtual visits
9. How frequent are visits?
We will decide this as a time after the initial evaluation based on goals and level of attention needed. Some clients need more assistance and manual work requiring weekly visits while others will thrive with infrequent follow ups used for progressions.

10. Forms of Payment?
Cash, Check written to One Body Physical Therapy, Credit Card using Square, or Venmo (@onebodypt)
11. Will my insurance company reimburse me?
- One Body PT is an out of network non participating provider. If you'd like to utilize your out of network reimbursement benefits we can provide a superbill upon request.
- It is the clients responsibility to submit the provided superbill to insurance. Depending on your insurance policy, clients will either receive a check from the insurance company as reimbursement for covered services provided by the therapist, or the cost of the appointment will be applied to the patient’s deductible.
